The Birmingham Scene at Birmingham Public Library closes on Friday. This includes the 60 works of Birmingham artist from 1930s to 1940s. It depicts the Depression and post-Depression years of the city’s industry and culture.
Daumier: Art for the Masses at the Birmingham Museum of Art closes on Saturday. This exhibit displays arts and politics in 19th century France through the satirical mind of Daumier. Check out the fourteen prints still bound in original newspapers and others that have been separated as stand-alone art.
Tradition Transformed: Danish Ceramics in the 20th Century at Birmingham Museum of Art closes January 8. Marvel at 40 pieces of Danish pottery from the studios of Copenhagen that were donated by William Hull and Dr. and Mrs. Frederick Baekeland. This collection reflects influences by Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean pottery.
